After our lovely visit to the city of Setúbal in the South of Portugal, to attend EXIB Music conference, we arrive to beautiful Porto, hometown of Claudia, for a few days of new friendships, inspiration and music. Claudia’s family still live at the other side of the Douro river, in the Gaia municipality, where we are staying. As we enjoy our Sunday afternoon we sit in the garden and play some music. Slowly an unexpected audience gathers behind us…. They want to listen to the music too, while they munch on the grass. Not very different than the Fado houses of Portugal, where you eat, drink and listen to live music. A perfect beginning to our WOMEX participation.
